About the Beat Sequencer

A 16-step drum sequencer with 7 synthesized instruments powered by the Web Audio API. All sounds are generated in real-time with no audio file downloads.

Synthesis techniques used

Kick - Sine oscillator with rapid pitch envelope drop.
Snare / Clap - Bandpass-filtered white noise burst.
Hi-Hat / Open Hat - Highpass-filtered white noise (short / long).
Tom - Sine oscillator with medium pitch drop.
Rim - Short square-wave burst.

Common drum patterns to try

Steps are numbered 1–16, representing 16th notes in one bar (4/4 time). Steps 1, 5, 9, and 13 are beat 1, 2, 3, and 4 respectively.
