How to use this tool

Select or drop a source image. Choose an image from your device or drop it into the source image area. It is processed in your browser.
Choose text or logo. Enter a text mark or select a PNG, JPEG, or WebP logo. Logo mode includes a width control based on the source image width.
Set the position and appearance. Choose one of nine positions, then adjust opacity and rotation. Text mode also has relative size and color controls.
Download the PNG. Review the preview and download the watermarked image. The source pixel dimensions are preserved.

Text and logo watermarks

Add a visible text mark or a logo image to a photo. Select or drop a source image, choose a watermark type, and adjust the preview. The source photo and optional logo are read as local browser files; the watermark is composited with the Canvas API, and no image upload is needed.

Text size is relative to the source image width: the tool multiplies the image width by your percentage setting to choose a font size in pixels. For example, 4% on a 1,600-pixel-wide image produces 64-pixel text. Text has an 8-pixel minimum on very small images. Logo width is also set as a percentage of the source width, and its original aspect ratio is preserved. Transparent PNG marks generally blend more naturally than logos with a solid background.

The nine-position grid places a mark at an edge or center point. Opacity controls how strongly the mark blends over the photo, while rotation can angle either text or a logo. A subtle mark can identify a portfolio preview without hiding the subject; a stronger mark may be more noticeable in a proof sent to a client. A visible watermark can still be cropped or edited, so it should not be treated as copy protection.

Output and image limits

Download creates a PNG at the source image's pixel dimensions. Canvas export creates a new image, so embedded metadata such as EXIF and GPS coordinates is removed. Animated images are flattened to a single frame; this is not an animation-preserving workflow. Large source images can use substantial device memory while the live preview is rendered.

To make a handwritten mark, draw and export it with the Signature Pad, then select the exported image in Logo watermark mode.

Privacy

The selected photo and logo are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded by this tool. Toolcroft may load site analytics described in the Privacy Policy; that does not require sending the selected image pixels. No watermark settings or files are saved by this page.

Can I use a logo as a watermark?

Yes. Choose Logo watermark and select a PNG, JPEG, or WebP image. Transparent PNG logos usually blend most cleanly with photos. The logo keeps its proportions as you resize it.

How is text size chosen for different photos?

Text size is measured as a percentage of the source image width, so the same setting scales with small and large photos. Text has a minimum size of 8 pixels for very small images.

What happens when I download the watermarked image?

The image is exported as a PNG at the source image dimensions. Canvas export creates a new file, so metadata such as EXIF and GPS information is not preserved. Animated images are flattened to a single frame.

Does a visible watermark prevent copying?

No. A visible text or logo overlay can discourage casual reuse and identify a source, but it can be cropped or edited out. This tool does not create invisible or tamper-proof marks.
